Baby Grave Marked After 150 Years

A headstone is to be unveiled at the grave of a baby boy - 150 years after he was buried in a Worcester Cemetery.

John Ryan, was the first person to be buried in Astwood Cemetery,. Records show that the six week old was buried in an unmarked grave on 9th October , 1858.

Father Brian McGinley, from St George's Roman Catholic Church, Worcester, was to lead a service at the cemetery.

He said the baby was born in Worcester jail to Irish parents
